It’s another restless night in Alabama.

Dad and I are sitting in the living room watching Christine.  I’ve never seen it.  Dad’s totally into the movie, looking at me every time there’s a suspenseful moment or when someone is about to die, and he says, “Hey, watch this,” like it is a life-or-death situation if I decide to take my eyes off the TV screen. xx
